Groepsbeelden (group pictures) By joining together in front of a camera the participants, both in front and behind the camera, become aware of each other within the act of forming the group and making the image. A certain co-operation is needed to assure that each participant gets a position on the photograph. It can be an intens ‘in the moment’ experience. The act of photographing becomes a tool to create a connection between a group of people and a way to show this connection. At the same time the group portrait shows the individual appearance of each participant.
